well, just dry. but i know we’re the lucky ones. and i’d been so excited to write my post entitled the story of the hurricane. i mean, i could still write that post. but it would be about kathryn and i filling up all our water bottles, watching johnny depp movies and placing a bucket to catch three drops of water that came through our skylight. not so much the dramatic tale of survival. i’m sure, though, that there are lots of folks out there who didn’t fare nearly as well, and my heart goes out to them. if any of you turned down our offer of sanctuary and have been washed out, the offer still stands.
tomorrow morning i’m supposed to head to the doctor to start my new clinical trial. i’ll be interested to see how the city is looking – i hear there are lots and lots of trees down and still problem areas for flooding. many of my oncology team members don’t live close to the hospital, so who knows whether they’ll be able to get to work? as usual, i’ll keep you all posted.
