tired and happy

i hope you all had a lovely holiday break. it was strange to spend thanksgiving away from both our families, though we still had a great time with friends here in brooklyn. plus we got to burn off most of the meal with our after-dinner entertainment of a michael jackson dance-along video game. guess who was insanely good? not me! kathryn was though.

so: i got my scan results this morning, and that’s three clean scans in a row. heck yeah! it’s a turkey! my oncologist said that the tech at the scan lab actually called her to see what treatments had been responsible for such a remarkable turnaround. the fact that i’ve been able to keep the cancer away for six months now without any treatment is a bit of a miracle. and now we’re moving to scans every six months – amazing.

kat & are just back from a celebratory dinner and i’d much rather be cuddling with her than posting here – but i wanted to make sure those of you who still check the blog got the good news!

We’ve prayed for this day, imagined this day, told well meaning friends who said that it that it would come, that they just didn’t understand, but we are here and we are grateful for this miracle and the miracle that your life has always been in my book……….
