my head hurts, again. i’m seeing a oncological headache specialist in two weeks.
my shoulder hurts, for the first time. the tumor has started to grow again and has hit a nerve, which means i am constantly in a small amount of pain. it’s a light soreness but it is also a constant reminder of my disease. as are the huge pile of mostly-illegitimate hospital bills that were my christmas present upon my return. thanks NYU! now if only you could play natalie merchant as hold music when i call you… oh right.
sorry, that’s a little negative for the morning. headaches put me in a bad mood. it’s the last week of chemo and i’m ready to be done. my body is starting to shut down a bit. but i am still basking in the glow of a lovely dinner party last night with friends old and new(ish). i may have a large disruptive inoperable tumor on my shoulder, but at least i still know how to have a good time.

Aw, at least you’re almost done with the chemo. Maybe that’ll help the headaches?
I can understand. One comes back from a trip relaxed and in a good mood with all the nice things that happened. And the comes REALITY!
